copse cottage received planning permission in early 2016 and recently started on site – the house will replace a 1950’s property on a fantastic plot with elevated views out across the surrounding landscape.

the new house will be constructed from an in-situ fair faced concrete structure at ground floor, with a lightweight steel structure above. the kitchen/family rooms and children’s bedrooms will be at the lower level with direct access to the garden and the formal sitting room/snug and master bedroom above, all connected by a 3 storey ‘atrium’ space.
externally the design projects two faces – to the north and facing the main entranceway is a more solid elevation of stone and concrete, whilst to the south, facing out over the surrounding landscape is a far more lightweight glass and steel facade, capped by a large brise-soleil that protects the large areas of glazing from over heating.
